Canberra Grammar School dropped 45 places in the 2016 Higher School Certificate rankings, just scraping into the top 100 in 98th place.

More than 77,000 students from across NSW and the ACT received their HSC results on Thursday.
Grammar school student Charles Hancock topped the state in German Extension and made the All Round Achievers' List for attaining more than 90 per cent in 10 or more of his units. Mark Glanville and Eddie Stewart also made the list.
Eric Gittleman (Business Studies), Mr Hancock (German Continuers, German Extension) Elliott Murphy (Mathematics), Nicholas McCabe (Music Extension) and Mr Glanville (Software Design and Development) all finished in the top 10 of the state for the named subject.
The school received 107 high scores in band six, the highest ranking available.
Grammar principal Justin Garrick said while the results weren't as strong as 2015 he was still very pleased for the students who worked hard for good outcomes.
"The school always knew it was going to be pretty hard to beat the fabulous results of 2015," Dr Garrick said.
"They did exceptionally well in so many ways, they were a particularly strong year group."
Dr Garrick commended those boys who made the 2016 All Round Achievers List.
"And in particular Charles Hancock who topped the entire NSW cohort."
He said many students had also received early offers from universities.
Dr Garrick said the school was keenly awaiting the results of the International Baccalaureate due in early January.
"The IB results have a significant bearing on the school's overall profile and so the fact they're excluded has a significant sliding effect each year and virtually renders the league table position sort of meaningless," he said.
In 2016 22 Grammar students sat the IB and 120 sat the HSC.
Across the border, Queanbeyan High School, Karabar High School and Karabar Distance Education Centre did not rank in the top 150 schools. Queanbeyan received two high scores, Karabar nine and the Distance Centre four. The Distance Education Centre serves students in south east NSW who are isolated, vocationally talented, medically unfit, enrolled in single subjects or in special categories or travelling.
Meanwhile data released by the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies reveal that Radford College received the highest median ATAR with 91.85.
Callum Mayer achieved the college's highest ATAR of 99.8, and will be awarded the prize as JA Mackinnon Dux.
Principal of Radford Fiona Godfrey congratulated her 2016 cohort on their results but said school success went beyond a score.
"It is important to note that Year 12 results are only one measure of achievement," Ms Godfrey said.
"While we are obviously delighted with our students' performance, we recognise that a successful school experience goes far beyond the scores gained on a single measure.
"We seek to provide the means for our students to develop their character, as well as their intellect, by offering an extensive program of co-curricular activities and opportunities for community service and pastoral support. It is clear to us that the class of 2016 contributed to the Radford community and beyond in quite remarkable ways, and we congratulate them all."
Brindabella Christian College (87.55), Narrabundah College (85.65), Orana Steiner School (85.05), Canberra Girls Grammar School (84.10) and Burgmann Anglican School (80.65) received the next highest.
Canberra College, which had the two students with the highest individual ATAR, with Matilda Dowse and Michael Polkinghorne receiving 99.95, had a median ATAR of 78.
