Body of missing teen found

07 Sep, 2010 01:59 PM
The body of a 15-year-old Sydney boy missing in the Snowy Mountains has been found.

Bushwalkers found what police believe to be the body of Evan Greenwood at 11.30am. A crime scene has been established behind the Mt Guthrie ski slope near Charlotte Pass.

The police commander is expected to visit Evan’s parents later today. There will be a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.

At 9am, Evan Greenwood had been missing for 24 hours after telling his family that he was going skiing. Four search teams began scanning 500 hectares of snow at first light. Evan had been on a family holiday with his father and stepmother.
