TYLER GRAY-THOMPSON has been through more than most children but he can still hunt for eggs with the best of them.
He has neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Today the Carwoola four-year-old will join other youngsters in a scramble for foil-covered chocolates at Rodney's Nursery in Pialligo.
His mother, Melissa Gray, said his condition was stable.
''To see him now, nobody would have any idea what he's been through,'' she said.
''He's actually incredible. He runs circles around us.''
The nursery is also hosting a sausage sizzle and wine tasting, with a percentage of the proceeds going to neuroblastoma research through the 4TylerJames fund.
Organiser Kate Dawson met Melissa Gray through a mothers' networking group and was moved to raise money for the little-known cause.
Ms Gray said it was one of numerous charitable gestures by people she had never met.
''I was really taken aback by people's generosity and desire to do things for total strangers,'' she said. ''It's something we really need. No one knows about neuroblastoma. And there is no cure.''
