Campese representative future in doubt after arrest

21 Sep, 2009 10:21 AM
Canberra Raiders star Terry Campese's immediate representative career could be in jeopardy after his arrest outside Walsh's Hotel in Queanbeyan at the weekend.

Campese was to fly to Papua New Guinea on Friday to play for an Australian Prime Minister's XIII team against the Kumuls the following day.

An investigation by Australian Rugby League chief executive Geoff Carr today will determine whether Campese retains his position in the team or is sacked.

Campese, 25, was arrested on Friday night and issued with an infringement for ''excluded person remain in vicinity of licensed premises'', or failing to leave the premises when asked.
