CSIRO looks at cutting 500 jobs

A meeting of CSIRO top executives has discussed plans to shed 500 jobs across the organisation in a bid to find savings of $10 million, according to internal documents.

The documents, obtained by The Canberra Times, have sparked fears the national science agency's funding could be pruned back in next week's federal budget.
