The ACT Magistrates Court was evacuated this afternoon following a grass and scrub fire that burned metres from the building.
Flames reached over three metres as it burned near the corner of Northbourne Avenue and London Circuit.
One court was in session when the building was evacuated.
About 100 staff and members of the public were evacuated with Corrective Services staff extinguishing the blaze before fire crews arrived.
No damage was inflicted on the building, with a small a mount of smoke entering through air-conditioning ducts.
Staff evacuated for about 30 minutes before fire crews gave the all-clear.
