Boy wizard Harry Potter's adventures have been voted Australia's favourite read for the third year in a row.
The Angus & Robertson Top 100 list, promoted as a snapshot of the nation's reading habits, ranks Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster Twilight in second place, behind J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. More than 26,000 people voted for the list, which includes 52 new titles.
Five of Australian author Matthew Reilly's books made the list, making him the most popular writer overall.
Traditional literature still has its fans, with classics such as Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (No3), Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird (No6) and Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights (No28) constituting 13 per cent of the list. Claire Low
