Ruth Whelan was last seen by a friend of the family on Friday 13 August in Civic and declined a lift home.

Family and friends have not heard from her since, and police are now calling for help from the public to locate the 42-year-old Calwell woman.

She left her home on Tuesday, August 10, and was due to attend a relative’s 70th birthday in Sydney late last month, but never made it.

Ms Whelan is described as around 163cm tall (5’4”), of petite build, with blue eyes, a fair complexion and blonde shoulder length hair.

Police are concerned for her safety as this lengthy absence is out of character.
