It's hidden on the bottom right-hand corner of the University of Canberra website, but it's there: a link to the live streaming of UC Cue FM.
It will be the first campus radio station in the ACT to simultaneously internet stream and narrowcast.
Politics lecturer and Cue FM president Michael de Percy said it was exciting.
''We only have a license for a 5km radius, and we're fairly close to other community radio station frequencies, so we're limited in that regard, but in terms of [internet] streaming we can reach a global audience now,'' he said.
The new Cue FM was launched yesterday at O-Day, the culmination of O-Week celebrations.
Mr de Percy took over as president earlier this year with the aim of re-establishing it to hand back to students.
''Typical with student clubs is that the students start them, the club does well, the students graduate and the club falls over until someone else comes out of the woodworks.''
He said there would be a wide range of music and programs on offer.
But his real hope was for the internet streaming to improve internal communication.
''There are over 10,000 [staff and students] but the trouble is they don't necessarily have access to all of the information.''
Two hundred new international students and more than 500 new Australian students are set to start at UC this semester.
