Lauren Jackson says she will return to the United States re-energised and ready to help the Seattle Storm to a WNBA title.
The basketball superstar signed a two-year deal with the Storm today, a week after helping the Canberra Capitals to their seventh championship.
It will be her 10th season with the Storm.
“I don't feel any relief because it [signing with Seattle] was always going to happen,'' Jackson said.
“Now it's just looking forward to the next four or five months.
“The last four or five months I've been spending with the Capitals and now it's a different season, time to move on.
“I think that's more what it means at the moment - moving on to the next phase.''
Jackson was outstanding in her 12-game stint with Canberra, averaging 23.8 points and 10.2 rebounds each match.
She was judged the grand final's most valuable player with 18 points and 13 rebounds in Canberra's 75-70 win over the Bulleen Boomers last weekend.
Jackson will remain in Australia until flying to Seattle in April to ramp up her WNBA preparations.
