New trees for St Paul's

22 Dec, 2009 03:24 PM
The 130-year-old St Paul's cemetery in Evatt will get an upgrade with a new fence and new trees.

The ACT Department of Territory and Municipal Services will plant 20 eucalyptus trees around the cemetery and build a “rural-style” fence around the site.

TAMS is also working on Gungahlin Cemetery, trialling a new species of grass which will cut water use by 30 per cent.

The department will plant 7500sqm of the grass, a species of couch, this month.
