Police hunt for Valentine's Day attacker

02 Jul, 2009 01:00 AM
ACT Policing is searching for clues to a vicious Valentine's Day assault that saw two men injured outside the Canberra Centre.

Blows from an attacker left one man with a fractured eye socket and broken nose, while another victim was left with a cut lip.

The attack occurred near a water fountain on Ainslie Avenue at about 5.35pm on Saturday, February 14, and coincided with the Multicultural Festival.

Police said two men were seen with the attacker at the time of the incident and they wanted to speak to them in relation to the assault. The attacker is described as Asian in appearance, in his late teens with a thin, fit build and about 160-170cm tall.
