Canberra Stadium has been transformed into a cauldron of motorcycle mayhem for tonight's fourth round of the Australasian Supercross Championships.
More than 100 riders will be trying to master the 552m course.
Among them will be two of the biggest names in the sport, Australia's Chad Reed, and seven-time American supercross champion Jeremy McGrath.
Event organisers are hoping 12,000 spectators pass through the gates, with almost 9000 tickets already sold late yesterday afternoon.
Australian Super X general manager Mal Peter encouraged all Canberrans to head to the stadium tonight to witness something out of the ordinary.
''It's a three-hour entertainment spectacular. If motocross is Sheffield Shield cricket, supercross is a one-day international,'' Mr Peter said.
