Thief hits McDonald's Fyshwick

09 Feb, 2010 08:17 AM
A man held up the Fyshwick McDonald's fast-food restaurant about 7.30pm last night, escaping with cash.

An ACT Policing spokeswoman said the man, who did not threaten staff with a weapon, fled the store with a small amount of money. The same restaurant was robbed by armed bandits in November.

Police are also looking for a knife-wielding man who held up a video store in Kippax Fair about 9.20am yesterday.

He flashed his weapon at the female store attendant before taking money and leaving on a grey BMX bike. He is described as 180cm tall, in his mid-20s, with brown eyes. He wore a red hat, baggy grey jacket, orange gloves and had a red bandanna tied around his lower face.

Witnesses to either robbery should call 1800 333 000.
