Staff from the ACT Planning and Land Authority would no longer be sent to meetings of the Tuggeranong Community Council because of aggression at a meeting last Thursday, an authority spokesman said.
The meeting, at the Southern Cross Club in Tuggeranong, was for a briefing by the Land and Planning Agency and the authority on land releases in Tuggeranong and the Eastern Broadacre Study.
The council is concerned about planned developments including gas turbines for a data centre and the expansion of Hume.
The authority's spokesman said staff would not go to future council meetings because of aggression. ''From the feedback we got, it was not very pleasant for our staff,'' he said.
Council president Darryl Johnston said yesterday he was surprised by the allegation. He had not been at the meeting but had spoken to its chair and to other members. He had been told questioning had been firm but not rude, intimidating or bullying.
