Three people have been charged after a Belconnen home invasion involving up to 18 people that left two people with stab wounds.
One girl had her hair extensions ripped out, while others were punched in the head and kicked in the stomach and face during the fracas.
Police allege the incident was the culmination of a dispute between two women over claims one had lied about a pregnancy.
Both Tahlia Venables and Jasmin Bodrozic claimed the other intimidated, harassed and threatened to kill the other on numerous occasions before the Sunday morning fight.
Bodrozic was one of three women aged 18 and 19 who were charged over the fight and appeared before the ACT Magistrates Court.
Police allege the women were part of a group of young men and women who arrived at the Belconnen house of Ms Venables at 3am on Sunday.
It is alleged the group of about 11 people kicked in the door and bashed three people.
One woman inside the house was stabbed in the hand, while a man alleged to have been part of the intruding party was stabbed in the abdomen.
He was taken to the Canberra Hospital and has since undergone surgery.
Detective Senior Constable David Johnston told the court the stabbing victim claimed no knowledge of the incident and did not want to participate in an interview.
Ms Venables reportedly hid in the cupboard and phoned police during the attack before she was grabbed and assaulted.
It is alleged Bodrozic punched her numerous times and pushed Ms Venables’ head into a wall.
In a police interview, Bodrozic said she was drinking with friends at the Ukrainian Club in Queanbeyan on Saturday night when friends ‘‘fired her up’’ to do something about Ms Venables.
The court heard the pair’s relationship became acrimonious after Ms Venables had a relationship with Bodrozic’s cousin and claims were made about lies regarding a pregnancy.
Bodrozic, 18, was charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, one of aggravated robbery and one of affray. Bodrozic’s lawyer said the charges were trumped up.
Two other women were arrested in Queanbeyan yesterday and extradited to the ACT.
Grace May Smith, 19, of Queanbeyan, and Kathryn Matthews, 19, of Queanbeyan, were charged with using unlawful violence against seven people.
All three women were bailed with a $5000 surety, given a 7pm curfew and ordered not to contact any of the other parties involved in the dispute.
They will next appear before the ACT Magistrates Court on September 28.
