For the woman who's made her name out of writing about superstars and their sexy exploits, that's quite a prediction. Even more tantalising, though, is that this spicy tale won't be fiction. Instead, Collins, who has spent decades living among the rich and famously decadent of Los Angeles, has finally agreed to write her autobiography.

''So many people have asked me over the years and I've never felt like doing it and then I suddenly thought, 'Why not?'''

Sure, the announcement may send shockwaves through the relapsing starlets in the nightclubs along the Sunset Strip or the aging lotharios no longer able to score a film deal, but to Collins' readers worldwide a memoir could be the ultimate tabloid compendium.

After all, the woman who has so far created 27 racy tomes, including her new release Poor Little Bitch Girl, says she has always liked to watch.
