It takes a brave man to move thousands of kilometres in the hope an unconfirmed NBL coaching position will become reality.
But that's exactly what Rob Beveridge will do.
Just six months after the Sydney Spirit went broke and left him out of work, Beveridge and his family will move to the other side of the country to hopefully reignite his coaching career.
They will pack up their Giralang home despite having no official guarantee the Perth Wildcats will be included in the revamped league.Canberra-born Beveridge signed a three-year deal with Perth last week and for his family it was a simple case of ''wherever you go, we'll follow''.''I feel like I've got unfinished business in the NBL,'' Beveridge said yesterday.
''I do want to win a championship, and it's not about buying a championship. It's building a program that's going to be great over time.''I don't have any fears in that if it [the Perth job] falls over, I know I'll be fine. I know I've got plenty of other options and if it does, that's life and that's the way it goes.''Basketball Australia is expected to announce the details of its new premier men's competition by the end of the month.
