The Canberra Capitals continued their march to the WNBL finals with an easy 90-59 victory over the Perth Lynx at Tuggeranong last night.
The Capitals hit cruise control early and were rarely troubled.
The result was never the biggest concern for Canberra coach Carrie Graf.
She wanted her players to do just one thing send a warning to the Capitals' championship rivals.
With two games left before the start of the play-offs, the defending champions continued to ramp up their credentials for back-to-back titles.
The 31-point victory was their seventh win in a row and with matches against likely finals opponents Adelaide tomorrow and Bulleen next weekend, the Capitals have shown no signs of slowing down.
''I think in the first half we had some the best offensive execution we've had all season,'' Graf said.
''We also got to rest everyone. I don't think we played anyone over 25 minutes and being fresh against Adelaide is really important.''
Lauren Jackson and Abby Bishop got some valuable game time while the rest of the team never gave Perth a chance to find their rhythm.
Jackson finished with a game-high 27 one more than her season average while Bishop was solid with 12.
After Perth opened the scoring, the Capitals wasted no time shutting their opponents out of the match.
Graf signalled her intentions to keep her stars fresh early and after just five minutes had her starting-five players resting.
