Canberra Gunners captain Zlatko Todorovski is the first to admit he hasn't been at his dynamic best in this season's South East Australian Basketball League.
His scoring has been below its usual high standards and he is still trying to handle intense opposition defence.
With the Gunners season on the line against the Bendigo Braves at Belconnen tonight, Todorovski wants to restamp his authority on the league.
The Gunners top-four aspirations are fading after the team lost eight of its past 10 matches.
The match against Bendigo looms as a must-win encounter and seven-season veteran Todorovski was confident Canberra could keep its season alive.
Todorovski averages almost 14points a game four less than his career average but has failed to reach double figures in the last three matches.
''I think the only thing to change this season is the extra attention I've been getting from opposition defence,'' the skipper said.
''I'm still struggling to work out the best way for me to contribute when I'm not scoring.
