Raiders back-rower Tom Learoyd-Lahrs has backed Josh Dugan to make an impact at international level when he lines up for the Prime Minster's XIII against Papua New Guinea later this month.
Learoyd-Lahrs and Dugan will join Raiders teammates Joel Monaghan, Terry Campese and David Shillington in the representative side to play the Kumuls in Port Moresby on Sunday, September 27.
The selection caps a remarkable year for 19-year-old Dugan, who was joint-winner of the Mal Meninga Medal for Raiders player of the year after making his NRL debut in round four.
''I'm sure he was surprised when his name got read out but he deserves his spot,'' Learoyd-Lahrs said yesterday.
''He's been a revelation for us this year and this will be a good bit of experience for him.
