Eastlake captain Peter O'Callaghan has been called into the ACT Comets side to take on Tasmania A in next week's second-round match of the Futures League.
O'Callaghan replaces Weston Creek batsman John Nicoll for the Comets' clash with Tasmania A at Bellerive Oval from October 27-29.
O'Callaghan's inclusion is the only change to the side that was defeated by Queensland in Brisbane a fortnight ago.
Tasmania began its campaign with a comfortable six-wicket victory over Western Australia in Fremantle.
Former ACT representatives Wade Irvine and John Rogers, in Tasmania on rookie contracts, starred for the apple isle in the win.
Irvine claimed match figures of 7-142 with his off-spin, while Rogers scored an unbeaten 40 in the second innings.
ACT captain Mark Higgs has played with and against both men but said the Comets would not target their former teammates.
''Obviously, when you play against them you always try to use what you know, whether it's me playing for Queanbeyan on the weekend or playing for the Comets against guys that used to play for the Comets,'' Higgs said.
''You're going to tactically try to work them out but it's hard to say we'll target them or anyone, I think we should go into these games and worry about our own performances.
''If we start worrying about the opposition too much we might get away from what we're trying to do as a team.''
The Comets are eager to get their season back on track following their five-wicket loss to Queensland in the opening match.
A first-innings batting collapse ruined the Comets' hopes, but there were some positives in the second innings with Ashton May scoring an unbeaten 135. The Comets set Queensland 175 for victory and had the hosts at 3-49 before it rallied to take the outright victory.
''That's early season cricket for you but we got some positives out of it,'' Higgs said. ''It was a bad loss but we only lost it in a 15 minute period when we lost 6-2, if you do that in any game it's hard to fight back.
''We got them in a position where they were in a bit of trouble in that fourth innings and had a chance of tumbling them over but a little partnership for them took it away from us.
''But it showed if we'd maintained our consistency through the whole game we can compete and take these sides on.''
The Comets' first home game of the season is against Victoria from November 17-19 at Manuka Oval.
