Former Australian quick Craig McDermott is hoping to find in Canberra a fast bowler who can swing the ball and stay fit.
McDermott and Australian fast-bowling coach Troy Cooley have been in the national capital for the past two days as part of the Cricket Australia Centre of Excellence tour around Australia.
They worked with the ACT under-17 and under-19 boys teams and the ACT Meteors.
''The emphasis from my point of view is pitching the ball up and getting guys to swing the ball again,'' McDermott said.
''I think that's something that has disappeared over the last 10 years of Australian cricket.
''I think the likes of Mitchell Johnson, they bowl fast and bowl well and that's what works for them.
