Canberra Raiders five-eighth Terry Campese believes his side is ready to string a number of wins together and continue its move up the NRL ladder with a victory against the Gold Coast Titans on Friday night.
Campese continued his stunning start to the season last weekend against the Sharks, scoring a try and setting up another in the 24-14 win.
It has the 24-year-old leading the Dally M Medal count after five rounds of the competition, ahead of players such as Johnathan Thurston, Darren Lockyer and Scott Prince.
It was those three players that Campese attributes much of his brilliant form to after spending more than a month with the trio during Australia's failed World Cup campaign last year.
He said being able to watch some of Australia's best playmakers close up had helped his game develop.
After showing Thurston what he's capable of during the Raiders round-four win against the Cowboys, Campese now has Prince in his sights for the clash at Skilled Park.
But he knows the Raiders will need to improve against the Titans, who have won four of their first five matches of the NRL season.
According to Campese, the Titans boast the competition's ''best halfback'' in Prince.
Campese and Prince roomed together during the World Cup, and Campese said he had enjoyed spending his time with the playmaker.
''There are a few funny stories old Princey is a good bloke, he was great to room with and he taught me a fair bit,'' Campese said.
''One day he ate half a chocolate bar and then was doing sit-ups the next two days trying to work it off, and that's a bit different to what I was like. When I injured my eye all the boys were just bringing me food. I had chocolate and chips and the lot, so that's how I got my Santa suit over the summer.
''He was pretty disgusted with that and how I was eating actually.''
But while Campese said he'd enjoy catching up with Prince after the match, on the field he needs to be on full alert.
Along with Prince, the Titans boast a number of attacking options including Preston Campbell, Mat Rogers and former Raider William Zillman.
