Canberra win rewrites records

02 Aug, 2009 12:47 PM
THEY'VE consigned one of rugby league's proudest clubs to its worst defeat.

Now the Canberra Raiders have set their sights on toppling the NRL's leading teams in their final five games of the season.

The Raiders returned to form in stunning fashion at Canberra Stadium last night, posting a mammoth 56-0 win over the Brisbane Broncos.

The 10-tries-to-nil victory broke a host of point-scoring records.

It was the Broncos' biggest loss, the most points the Raiders had scored against Brisbane and Canberra's best score of the season.

Off-contract winger Phil Graham scored four tries, centre Joel Monaghan crossed the line twice and five-eighth Terry Campese booted eight conversions, as the Raiders broke a three-game losing streak.
