Dogs threaten to steal Cup

THE Canberra Raiders Cup could be heading up the Federal Highway after the Goulburn Bulldogs booked a grand final berth yesterday.

The Bulldogs downed a spirited Woden Rams side 29-22 in the preliminary final at Seiffert Oval.

In a see-sawing affair, the Bulldogs overcame a six-point half-time deficit to force their way into the decider.

The Bulldogs held a one-point lead late in the second half before captain Mick Dodson scored under the posts to hand the club its first grand final appearance.

The win sets up a blockbuster final against the Warriors next weekend.

The two sides finished the season on equal points but the Warriors' superior for-and-against gained them the minor premiership.

The Warriors gained further bragging rights by defeating the Bulldogs a fortnight ago, but the beaten Rams believe Goulburn will turn the tables in the final next week.
