Fullback Josh Dugan says he is in no hurry to extend his contract with the Raiders, preferring to instead focus on returning to his dynamic best against the Broncos at Canberra Stadium tonight.
The Raiders have offered Dugan a two-year contract extension that would keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2013 season.
The 19-year-old is one of the rising stars of the NRL and Canberra is desperate to hang on to him.
Dugan's manager Paul Sutton plans to meet with Raiders management in the near future.
While Dugan said he was happy in Canberra, he was in no hurry to sort out his long-term future.
''They're in talks at the moment, my manager is trying to sort out a deal to go through until the end of 2013,'' he said.
''But nothing's finished yet. I've still got next year as well so I'm not in too much of a hurry. I just want to focus on this year, I don't want to worry about the contract talks.
''I'm happy here, this is my home, this is where my family is.''
