Goulburn's Braun is too strong

Goulburn five-eighth Jeremy Braun provided the heroics deep in the second half of extra-time to give Goulburn a 29-24 win over the West Belconnen Warriors in yesterday's Canberra Raiders Cup grand final at Seiffert Oval.

Braun kept his nerve to pot a crucial field-goal late in extra-time to give the Goulburn Bulldogs a 25-24 lead over the Warriors.

''I was thinking, 'Just keep your head down', because I know if you lift your head you shank them,'' Braun said.

''So I just kept my head down and hoped for the best, hoped it didn't get charged down or nothing.''

But he hadn't finished yet.

worst display of referring i have ever seen. should never have gone to extra time!!! Bulldogs were lucky, very lucky. i truely feel for the westies boys... they were robbed!
