Phil Graham's total experience at fullback consists of a ''couple of games'' there in his debut season in 2002, half a game in a trial match earlier this year and the final 10 minutes of the Canberra Raiders' 19-point loss to Newcastle on Saturday night.
It's a position he admits he knows little about playing and one he'd prefer not to be thrust into on a permanent basis.
But that's exactly what's likely to happen this week, with Josh Dugan's knee injury leaving the Raiders with few other options.
Scans today are likely to confirm Dugan has torn the meniscus in his right knee and will require keyhole surgery.
That means at least four weeks on the sidelines.
With David Milne still suffering from osteitis pubis and Justin Carney out for the remainder of the season with a broken leg, the Raiders' backline stocks have dwindled in the past month.
Coach David Furner is likely to call on Graham to wear the No1 jersey in Saturday night's must-win game against Penrith, with either Adrian Purtell or Brett Kelly set to be recalled on the wing.
''I've only ever played a couple of games there, not much,'' Graham said. ''Hopefully Duges's injury isn't that bad because he's playing some good footy for us at the moment.
''Whatever Furnesy says, he picks the team so if he wants me to play there I will.
