Logan looking to go out with a bang

23 Sep, 2009 10:56 AM
Veteran prop Scott Logan wants to finish his NRL career with one last finals campaign, after re-signing with the Canberra Raiders yesterday.

Logan ended months of uncertainty about his future when he secured a one-year deal, extending his professional rugby league career to a 15th season.

The 33-year-old said a desire to finish his career with a group of players he already knew had been a factor in his decision to remain in Canberra.

''There was an opportunity to go back to Sydney, but in the end I didn't want to look back on my career and just have one last season in Sydney for the sake of it,'' Logan said. ''I would have much preferred that I stayed at the club I'm at with the guys I know and be remembered for playing here for four years instead of just one season back in Sydney at the end.
