It appears Scott Logan has played his last game as a Canberra Raider with the club continuing to focus on its future and secure rising stars ahead of veterans.
Logan, who is off contract at the end of the season, fractured his cheekbone in the Raiders' 24-12 victory over the St George Illawarra Dragons last weekend.
Rookie Raiders prop Daniel Joyce signed a new two-year deal at the start of the week and his commitment is likely to force Logan to chase a one-year contract in Sydney or retire.
However, Canberra chief executive Don Furner refused to rule out the possibility of throwing the veteran a lifeline and offering him a one-season deal.
''We haven't offered him [Logan] anything at this stage,'' Furner said.
''We haven't sat down and talked for the last two weeks and it depends on what he wants to do.
''He said last year he wanted to play on for one more season, so he wasn't really in our plans because of that. We've signed Daniel and we need to keep securing those guys coming through.''
Scans on Monday confirmed Logan's NRL season, and possibly career, was over.
