Raiders centre Joel Monaghan intends to prove his representative career is alive when he lines up against NSW centre Michael Jennings on Saturday night.
The Penrith Panthers centre pipped Monaghan for a place in Craig Bellamy's Origin III side and the two will go head-to-head as the race to the finals heats up.
After being snubbed by the Australian and NSW Origin selectors this season, Monaghan will be out to shrug off his selection disappointment with a big performance.
At 27, speculation Monaghan's rep career is finished has been rife since Blues selectors chose to stick to a youth policy for Origin III, including Josh Morris, 22, and David Williams, 22 and Michael Jennings, 21.
Monaghan was played at centre for Origin II but was a late inclusion, being drafted into the team after Jennings succumbed to an ankle injury.
Despite his second Origin snubbing, Monaghan was confident he would make a return to the rep arena when the Raiders hit form.
''The teams performing well are the teams who get blokes in the rep teams,'' Monaghan said.
