Nurturing the NRL's future

Josh Dugan is just 18 and is still two days away from making his NRL debut.

Up until last year's Toyota Cup grand final he would barely have seen his name mentioned in the media outside of Canberra.

Now all of a sudden the Canberra Raiders' latest teenage sensation is big news.

His name has been linked to rival NRL clubs particularly the Sydney Roosters despite the fact he is contracted to the Raiders until 2011.

This week he's been the subject of numerous interview requests all of which have been rejected and photo shoots.

He's being lauded as a future NRL superstar, a player the Raiders can build their future around, alongside fellow youngsters such as Jarrod Croker, Travis Waddell and Justin Carney.
