Melbourne Storm superstar Greg Inglis has been cleared of a broken jaw and could play against the Raiders at Canberra Stadium on Sunday.
But an all-Origin contest with Raider Joel Monaghan may not happen, after the NSW centre failed to train last night because of a corked thigh.
The Storm could have its full complement of Origin stars on deck for the clash with the Raiders, after scans allayed fears Inglis had suffered a fractured jaw during Queensland's 24-14 win over NSW on Wednesday.
Inglis was still concussed yesterday and Storm officials will wait another 24 hours before deciding whether he and Queensland teammate Dallas Johnson (virus) will play.
A relieved Inglis said he had feared he would be out of action for several weeks, after NSW five-eighth Trent Barrett's high shot forced him from the field midway through the first half.
Cronulla playmaker Barrett was slapped with a grade one reckless high tackle charge yesterday and was banned for two games after entering an early guilty plea.
''It's a massive relief,'' Inglis said. ''I'll be the first to admit that I was concerned about the results.
''It's a big weight off my shoulders.''
Asked about the hit from Barrett, Inglis was noncommittal.
''I don't know if it was or wasn't [an accident]. I can't recall the incident,'' he said.
