Raiders chairman John McIntyre has urged the club's fans to be patient with Canberra's developing team, amid a surge of supporter unrest.
A group of disgruntled fans has threatened to boycott the Raiders' final home game of the season and other supporters say they will cancel their memberships in the wake of Canberra's failed 2009 campaign.
Many of the fans have directed their anger at rookie coach David Furner and his brother, club chief executive Don Furner, with rumours of a petition circulating Canberra and Queanbeyan calling for both to be sacked.
The fans have voiced their disappointment and frustration on online supporter sites, The Canberra Times website and the club's official Facebook site, as well as contacting the Raiders.
Their chief concern is the fact the Raiders are yet to secure a single recruit for next season, despite being 14th on the ladder with just six rounds remaining.
But while McIntyre said he could understand the fans' frustration, he urged them to keep the faith as David Furner ushered through a new generation of players.
''The frustrations of the fans is no different to the frustrations of the board and the coaches and everybody involved,'' McIntyre said.
''As long as those fans are paying their way through the turnstiles they're entitled to their opinion.
''But that [opinion] isn't shared by the board.
''With respect to those fans, at the moment they've hardly given David Furner a go.''
