Canberra's forwards have vowed to lift their aggression against Parramatta tomorrow night as the Raiders attempt to post their first win of the NRL season.
Raiders prop Tom Learoyd-Lahrs admitted his team had lacked fire up front during last week's loss to the Sydney Roosters and said it needed to rectify that to have any chance of beating the Eels at Parramatta Stadium.
While the Raiders' backs have copped plenty of flack for failing to create a try until the final minute against the Roosters, Learoyd-Lahrs said the forwards needed to shoulder a large part of the blame.
''If your team is getting beaten a lot of the time you've got to look at your middle men and if they're doing their job properly,'' Learoyd-Lahrs said.
''Our aggression was down in attack and defence.
''We spoke about being aggressive in everything we did this year, that was a major goal and I think we let ourselves down with that.
''Our carries weren't aggressive enough and as a result of that we didn't get enough metres, we didn't get enough go-forward to look after our backs and give them some room.''
The Raiders pack could be boosted by the return of prop Scott Logan, who trained yesterday and is likely to be a late inclusion if he proves his fitness at today's captain's run.
Hooker Stuart Flanagan has returned to the Raiders' line-up in place of the injured Glen Buttriss.
