Canberra centre Joel Monaghan believes Saturday night's win over Cronulla at Toyota Stadium proves the Raiders have conquered their travelling demons.
But his captain, Alan Tongue, said the Raiders must take their game to another level if they want to post another road win against the Gold Coast Titans at Skilled Park on Friday night.
The Raiders claimed a hard-fought 10-point win against the Sharks to earn their first away points of the season.
It followed unlucky away losses to the Wests Tigers and Parramatta Eels in the opening three rounds.
Monaghan said the Raiders' first three away performances were as good as any he had experienced since first playing for the club in 2001.
''Ever since I've been here we've had that tag that we can't win away from home,'' Monaghan said.
''I think that's changed. We probably should have won the other two games we've played away this season.
''I think our first three away performances were better than any of our ones last year.''
The Raiders have carried the unwanted tag of poor travellers since 1999, when they claimed just five victories away from Canberra Stadium.
Tongue said away form wasn't something the Raiders had directly addressed this season, but admitted they were playing with more confidence on the road than in previous years.
But while he was happy with his team's hard fought win over the Sharks, he said the Raiders needed to improve to compete against the in-form Titans, who are on a three-game winning streak.
''They're playing some really good footy and we're going to have to be at our best,'' Tongue said.
''We're going to have to be better than we were [against Cronulla] to beat the Titans. I think the guys recognise that.''
