When picking an honorary team be it a team of the decade, century or whatever you need to take two things into account: who were the most accomplished players and who played during successful times.
On both counts the selections of Laurie Daley, David Furner and Brett Mullins are absolute no-brainers.
Unfortunately my colleague Peter Fitzgerald has spent too much time bragging about how much he knew about the Raiders, while not actually researching his points.
A perfect example is his choice of Jason Smith at five-eighth ahead of Daley.
Fitzgerald contends that Daley, Furner and Mullins, should not be considered because, by playing only one season this decade, they had minimal on-field impact.
Does he not realise that those three guided the Raiders to fourth that season, their best finish, with 2003, this decade?
Has he not considered that Daley was the captain and chief playmaker of that side, while Furner was selected in the NSW State of Origin side?
