Canberra Raiders wrecking ball Tom Learoyd-Lahrs plans to perform a one-man demolition job on Queensland in his State of Origin debut at Suncorp Stadium tonight.
Learoyd-Lahrs is relishing the opportunity to revert back to the role of impact prop for the Blues, after being used as an 80-minute back-rower for the Raiders this season.
The 112kg enforcer believes coming off the bench will suit him. And he vowed not to leave anything in the tank once he was injected into the fray in the final game of the series.
''I won't be expected to play overly long stints so I'll just concentrate on trying to roll my sleeves up while I'm out there,'' Learoyd-Lahrs said.
''I won't have to worry about trying to conserve energy.
''If we've got the ball in hand I'm just going to do my best to get the team going forward.
''At club level now I'm enjoying playing long minutes in the back-row.
''But this is my debut in probably the highest level of competition in rugby league, so it makes my focus a lot narrower not having to worry about lasting for long periods of time.
''It's just short and sharp bursts and that will probably help me, I think it suits my game.''
