Travis Waddell has been cleared of a second fracture to his jaw this season and should be right to line up in Saturday night's qualifying final against Penrith.
On a busy day yesterday for Raiders medical staff, Waddell had an X-ray on his jaw after suffering a partial dislocation against Brisbane on Friday, but the scan revealed no recurring damage to the bone he broke in round three.
The 21-year-old hooker was one of three players who came back from the gutsy 18-16 win in Brisbane on Friday night battered and bruised.
Josh Dugan had scans on a hamstring strain yesterday, while rampaging prop Tom Learoyd-Lahrs was cleared of a fractured hand.
Both are expected to play in Saturday's must-win game against Penrith.
For Waddell, yesterday's positive result meant his injury-riddled season should have at least one more chapter this year.
''I want to play finals footy so bad but I've had the worst season with injuries, If I can overcome this it'd be good,'' Waddell said. ''It's just a bit sore but it's not too bad. The teeth don't line up as well which sucks. I'll be playing if I'm picked.''
