Wallabies ignore ACT claims

22 May, 2009 09:00 AM
The ACT Brumbies have again been big losers in Robbie Deans's Wallabies squad, with only six players named for the upcoming Test series in Australia.

Captain Stephen Hoiles and in-form prop Guy Shepherdson were omitted from the 29-man squad despite both having dominant Super 14 seasons.

The national selectors named 10 Western Force, nine NSW Waratahs and four Queensland Reds players for the four-Test series.

The Brumbies selected were Stirling Mortlock as captain, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Ben Alexander, Peter Kimlin, George Smith and Stephen Moore.
