More than a month after the move was stalled, Nick Kouparitsas has finally joined the Sydney Roosters until the end of 2010 after negotiating a release from the Bulldogs.
The 24-year-old back-rower has been stuck behind skipper Andrew Ryan and new recruits David Stagg and Greg Eastwood at the Bulldogs this year but will join the Roosters where he will link with former teammates Willie Mason, Nate Myles, Mark O'Meley and Braith Anasta.
He had been set to join the Bondi club last month but the move fell through when a financial payout from the Bulldogs couldn't be reached.
''This is a superb opportunity for me to show once again that I have the pedigree to produce at the highest level in the world's best league,'' Kouparitsas said .
''To play for such a prestigious club under the guidance of the legendary Brad Fittler was a huge attraction for me.
''It's a great honour to sign for the Roosters. I am confident of getting back to rediscovering my best form here.''
The arrival of Kouparitsas comes at a perfect time for the Roosters as they're without former Test prop O'Meley (knee) for tomorrow's crucial NRL clash with fellow strugglers Cronulla.
