Baby killer Christopher Hoerler will remain in jail after the State Parole Authority refused his bid to be released.

The authority determined it would not be in the public interest to grant him parole at a private meeting today.

Hoerler, 35, was sentenced to 14 years in prison with a non-parole period of more than 10 years for the manslaughter of a seven-month-old child in Wagga Wagga in 2000.
