Bow and arrows: student flees from school after tussle with teacher

Date

A high school student has fled with a bunch of arrows after being caught with the potential weapons on school grounds.

Police were called to a high school in Woolgoolga, near Coffs Harbour on the northern NSW coast, on Thursday morning after reports that a student had been seen with a bow and arrows on school grounds.

A male teacher confronted a 16-year-old male student in the playground about the allegations.

The youth allegedly then grabbed the bow and arrows, which had been hidden.

The bow was successfully wrestled free by the teacher, but the student ran from the school, still holding the arrows.

The student has yet to be located.
