Police are appealing for information after a man died after being found unconscious in a car park in Sydney's inner west on Tuesday afternoon.
The man in his 50s was found in the car park complex of Broadway Shopping Centre at about 5.20pm, police said.
A crime scene was established after attempts to revive the man were not successful.
The man was found next to a silver Toyota Corolla parked in an area reserved for seniors on the ground floor of the car park between Bay and Francis Streets.
Officers, who had searched through the car, were seen inspecting a number of items found inside.
Police at the scene said the man's death was not suspicious but taped off an area to inspect nearby cars and trolleys.
A police spokeswoman said investigators would examine the man's medical records as part of inquiries into the events leading up to his death.
"We're also going to be relying on the results of the post morterm examination to assist us in that inquiry as well," she said.
The post mortem is expected to be carried out on Wednesday.
Anyone with information was urged to contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
