Police are searching for answers after an elderly man died after falling down a three metre embankment on the South Coast on the weekend.
It’s believed the man was riding a child’s motorised scooter when he came off then fell down the embankment in Nethercote in the Bega Valley.
Emergency services were called to Nethercote Road just before 3pm, after the 74-year-old man was found injured.
He was taken to Pambula District Hospital where he died a short time later.
NSW Police will prepare a report for the Coroner and are appealing for anyone who might have seen the man riding the scooter before 3pm on Sunday to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
