Robber crawls through drive-through windows

Police are searching for a man who crawled through the drive-through windows of two fast food restaurants before threatening staff and demanding cash in Sydney's west.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a man allegedly broke into a fast food restaurant in Hoxton Park by climbing through the drive-through window, before demanding cash from staff.

Staff at the restaurant did not hand over any money.

About 50 minutes later the man broke into a nearby fast food restaurant in the same manner, police said, and threatened staff with a handgun, before making off with cash.

A staff member was punched in the face by the man and was treated by paramedics.

Meanwhile, a teenager will face court after a man was kicked and kneed in the head while walking along a western Sydney street.

Police have charged the 17-year-old man with robbery after a 45-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were approached by two men on Luxford Road, Lethbridge Park at 6am on Saturday.

The 45-year-old man was punched in the back of the head before being kicked and kneed in the head several times by both offenders.

The two men demanded cash and phones from the pair, before the 34-year-old handed over some money.

The 45-year-old man was treated for swelling, bruising and bleeding.

The teenager, who is charged with robbery in company, was refused bail and is expected to face Parramatta Children’s Court on Sunday.
