Second man charged over brothel stabbing

A second man has been charged with the murder of a man in a brothel, thanks to a tip-off given to police.

Twenty two-year-old Daniel Sio was arrested at his Liverpool home yesterday afternoon and charged with murder and robbery in company, causing wounding.

The arrest was made as a part of police investigations into the stabbing murder of a 48-year-old man at a brothel on George Street, Clyde early on Wednesday morning. Detectives said he was stabbed during an attempted armed robbery.

Reports suggested the dead man was the boyfriend of the Chinese-born woman who owned the brothel.

A 22-year-old man was arrested the same day and charged with murder and armed robbery.

Mr Sio did not apply for bail at Parramatta Bail court today. He will next appear at Parramatta Court on December 13.
