A man has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder following the shooting death of a 24-year-old man in inner-west Sydney.
The man, 26, was arrested in Marrickville yesterday almost eight months after Nikolas Argiropoulos was shot in the head at Ballast Point Park in Birchgrove.
His body was found by a woman on an early morning walk on March 22.
Police will allege that the man, from Casula, was at the park when Mr Argiropoulos was shot. Another man who police were investigating over the shooting, 28-year-old James Polkinghorne, was allegedly stabbed to death by his ex-girlfriend on Mother's Day in May.
Mr Argiropoulos, who lived with his family in Earlwood, was buried in Greece. He had attended Marist Brothers high school at Kogarah and spent a year living in Greece after graduation. He worked in Australia as a waiter and also as a concreter.
The man was refused bail to appear in Newtown Local Court today.
