Teenager in custody over alleged stabbing at party in Five Dock

A 16-year-old boy is helping police with inquiries after two teenagers were wounded at a party in Five Dock overnight.

Police were called to the home in Charles Street at about 8.40pm after receiving reports of a fight.

They found two 17-year-old males in the backyard with injuries.

One had sustained stab wounds to his chest and side. He is reported to be in a critical but stable condition after undergoing surgery at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

The other youth had allegedly been struck in the head with a bottle. He was also taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment.

Police officers from Burwood Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

After making inquiries, officers attended Concord Hospital, where a 16-year-old boy was getting treatment for a head wound.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station.
